Life

As I lie all cuddled up in my blanket and look at the winter sunshine coming in through my window, my mind wanders.. Out of the window.. Up, up and away. Somewhere into the clouds and then jumps into the oceans.. Trying to look for answers, trying to decode the mystery of life..

What is life? What is love? Is there a superior power looking down at us? Too many questions and too little answers. I have seen people walking around with meaningless lives..Running after money, career. And yet being engulfed by sadness as they lie surrounded by emptiness on their bed.

Too tired to discover life, they just let it go by saying , "That's life!"

That's where they go wrong. Life is not about making money , getting degrees and working hard for the five minutes of fame. And a day comes when we stand at the very top, having conquered all . But when we look down , what do we see? We see the people who helped us reach there..fading away..going out of sight..leaving the winner alone at the top.

Life is about enjoying the moments, the simple joys. Broadening our views , looking at the horizon. By dedicating our lives to others, by finding our joys in their smiles. 

Yes , we make mistakes. Yes , we are hurt. We fall in love and then out of it. We trust people and then have the trust broken. Life doesn't always give you what you want . But sometimes , we must enjoy the things we do have instead of crave for the things we want.
People come in our lives..and though, as much as we want them to stay forever. they go. And we have to let go..Letting go is not about shutting out the memories , or tearing pictures or regretting the past. It's about cherishing the memories and making the way for new ones. Each person gives us something that we'll never lose..and love never leaves us. It's always there. Inside us , in the rainbow , in the sun , in the wind.

Many times , all the joy in the life seems to have disappeared. It's at those times that we must know , that after the rain , comes the rainbow. After the caterpillar comes the butterfly. And life goes on. 

In the end , everyone fights. Everyone learns. Everyone exists. But only a few learn how to live.
